today i would like to present our new product which is salivastim. salivastim is a natural remedy which we designed for patients who have sjogren's syndrome. as many of you know, sjogren's syndrome is an autoimmune disease which affects endocrine glands such as salivary glands lacrimal glands, as well as glands producing sweat. and people who suffer from sjogren's syndrome they are dealing with extreme dryness.
so they have dry eyes, dry mouth dry skin, and in women also vaginal dryness may be a major problem. so what is known is that in patients who have sjogren's syndrome there is a particular protein called aquaporin-5 which represents a water channel. so this protein regulates production and excretion of saliva and tears and in patient's with sjogren's syndrome there is a suppression of expression of this particular protein.
so this is one of the key mechanisms leading to the dryness. so what has been shown is that the extract from dendrobium nobile increases production of aquaporin-5 and by doing that, it restores the production of saliva and tears in patients who have dryness. there are several clinical trials which have been published and they all show that the product is very efficient in patients with sjogren's syndrome.
and the expectation is that you may experience around 60 to 65% increase in production of saliva and tears after taking dendrobium nobile for a week. the second herb which is a part of salivastim is a product from amazonian rainforest, it is smilax medica, also known as sarsaparilla. it's a herb which also stimulates production of sweat and fluids in our body but in addition, it has a very strong anti-inflammatory
and detoxifying properties. and by doing that it improves function of the exocrine glands. so by combining two herbs, we created a unique product which will probably be one of the most efficient natural remedies to treat patients with sjogren's syndrome. how to take salivastim? our recommendation is to start slow and gradually increase the dose up to comfortable level. so initially we recommend to take one
capsule which is 500 mg of the combined extract a day. the product needs to be taken early in the morning because it can stimulate your brain and cause insomnia. you do this for a week or two then you increase the dose to two capsules a day. we don't recommend to go above two capsules
